Morgan Freeman Narrates New Video in Support of 2018 and 2022 FIFA World Cup Bid

In anticipation of the approaching bid announcement on Dec. 2 for the 2018/2022 FIFA World Cup, the USA Bid Committee launched a new video today to unite soccer supporters in the United States, narrated by Morgan Freeman.

 

President Bill Clinton, Spike Lee and former U.S. Women's National team player Mia Hamm, members of the USA Bid Committee Board of Directors along with Freeman, also appear in the video which showcases fans and players from across the country speaking about their passion for the game.

 

"I am proud to lend my voice to this remarkable effort to bring the FIFA World Cup™ to the United States. Soccer is the world's game, its beauty and simplicity embraced by people in every corner of the globe,” said Freeman about the video. “I have seen the game's power to bring people together, to stoke their passion, to realize their dreams...
